Keep Learner Data in the Teacher’s Sheet

OWL ECR is designed not to permanently store learner names, scores, grades, or full ECR contents in the app database. Learner records remain inside the teacher’s own Google Sheets file.

How It Works

1. Create Your Teacher Account

Sign in to OWL ECR and create your teacher profile.

2. Add a Class Profile

Create a class or subject profile and name it based on your teaching load.

3. Link Your Google Sheet

Paste the Google Sheets link of your E-Class Record or Grade Sheet.

4. Map the Sheet Cells

Set where learner names, scores, grade columns, and other needed fields are located.

5. Start Encoding

Use the OWL ECR form to record scores and class data.

6. Sync to Your ECR

OWL ECR writes the data directly to the correct cells in your connected Google Sheet.

Designed with Privacy in Mind

OWL ECR follows a privacy-conscious design.

The system does not permanently store learner names, quiz scores, grades, Learner Reference Numbers, or full ECR files in its own database.

The app stores only the information needed to operate the service, such as teacher account details, subscription access, class profile settings, Google Sheet reference, cell mapping, and non-sensitive system logs.

Learner records remain inside the teacher’s own authorized Google Sheets file.

Teachers are advised to keep their Google Sheets private and avoid using public “anyone with the link” sharing for class records.

For Advisers and Subject Teachers

OWL ECR can also help advisers collect grades from subject teachers.

The adviser can generate a secure grade request link for a specific subject teacher. The subject teacher opens the link, enters the requested grades, and submits them directly to the adviser’s Grade Sheet.

This helps reduce manual messaging, repeated follow-ups, and copy-paste errors.
